What we do
What is the aim of the project?
The aim of the project is to bring Saxon and Ugandan civil society and schools into contact with each other. Together with our Ugandan partner organisation Katosi Women Development Trust (KWDT), we are building partner networks in which actors from NGOs, education, environment, culture, art etc. can find each other, exchange ideas and forge collaboration.
The project coordinators arrange contacts, organise events, further training or workshops and advise on funding opportunities.
The project thus contributes to the achievement of SDG 17 "Partnerships for the Goals".
Who is the project aimed at?
The project is aimed at Saxon organisations, initiatives and schools with an interest in partnership contacts with Uganda. This includes organisations that already have contacts with Uganda and may wish to expand them.
It is also aimed at people (groups) of the Ugandan diaspora living in Saxony.
Last but not least, it is aimed at the general public and would like to familiarise people in Saxony with the country and the people of Uganda.
