Where is Uganda
Uganda is a landlocked country located across the equator in the eastern centre of Africa. Uganda is bordered by South Sudan to the north, Kenya to the east, Tanzania to the south and the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda to the west.
The country is blessed to be crossed by the equator, which gives it tropical weather and favours a diversity of fauna and flora. The capital is Kampala, which is about 40 kilometres from Entebbe International Airport. The airport is close to Lake Victoria, the largest lake in Africa and the third largest lake in the world. Uganda has a total area of 241,038.00 km2 with a current population of 50,099,467 people (as of 10 July 2023), based on the Worldometer elaboration of the latest United Nations data.
Uganda is a relatively young country with an average age of 16.7 years. The currency used in Uganda is called the Uganda shilling.
